Best Gundam Wing DVD set ever! December 11, 2008 I just got this set right now and it's the best Gundam Wing set ever released. Just like the previous reviewer, this is a DVD release, not Blu-Ray. The picture quality is very good, even when watched on a SDTV. To compare this et with the previous releases, this remastered version has translated lyrics, different versions of the Opening Credits played throughout the whole series, unlike the old version's one whole version of the Openings. Another added extra is the inclusion of the episode title cards, the midpoint when there's a break, and the next episode previews in Japanese only. Another good thing about this set is that you can switch Japanese, French and/or English during play because previously, you CAN'T switch languages during the episode and must go back to the main menu. The only extras this et came with is Opening and Ending karaoke with lyrics, trailers and a note from the Beez team about the remastered version. Now the only gripe I have about this set which I have just now, is that in Episode 1 near the end before the ending credits, there's a little graphical glitch or some sort. I checked the disc and it look fine. (Maybe it's the remastering process. Anyway this is a set that is worth watching if you're new or if you want to replace the inferior DVDs a few years back. Go get it!
Brilliant remastering but it is NOT a Blu-ray or in High Definition as Amazon currently says on this page. December 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The picture quality of this addition is brilliant as you would expect from a remastered edition. However I would like to draw attention to the fact that currently (09/12/2008) Amazon says that this is Blu-ray and needs to be played in a Blu-ray player. This is NOT true. This is a DVD, which works in a normal DVD player. Although if you have a good TV or monitor it can look amazing thanks to the remastering.
