What's on Season 2?? May 20, 2007

After the (unexpected) hit of the first season, Stars are lining up at the Muppet Show. And for the 24 complete episodes of the second season, more americain celebrities appears on the show.
Here's a partial list of the Guest Stars: STEVE MARTIN, ELTON JOHN, BOB HOPE, JULIE ANDREWS, PETER SELLERS, PETULA CLARK, JOHN CLEESE, MILTON BERLE, DON KNOTTS, BERNADETTE PETERS, RUDOLF NUREYEV, RICH LITTLE, and GEORGE BURNS. (Source :"The Making of the Muppet Show")
And on the Muppet side, we'll see a BRAND NEW Fozzie Bear (with a more golden fur, his final design), and BRAND NEW Gonzo (who has been completly re-sculpted, with opening eye lids, for more expressions).
A new Muppet will make it's first entrance, Muppet Lab assistant BEAKER, who'll be performed by Richard Hunt(Scooter, Sweethums, Statler) as well as Janice from now on. Miss Piggy has new eyelashes, but still need new hair!! And THE MOST IMPORTANT, a new opening sequence with the same famous theme song.
January 1978, a new comer arrives in the Muppet performer, Steve Whitmire (19 years old!!)who is assigned to performed different background characters and animals like Miss Piggy's Foo-Foo, and the on-the-rise-to-be-famous, Rizzo The Rat. (Since Jim Henson's death, Steve performs Kermit the Frog.)
On a more personal note, from what I've seen from the DVD series of "The Best Of The Muppet Show", Jerry Juhl and his team of writers have reach a new level. They have obviously gain more control on their characters, and performers are more comfortable.
The only wish I have, is that Second Season is as good as it's 24 months (songs copyrights problems)wait. Until August, keep those Pigs, Chickens, and Whatever, singing and dancing!!
