From Amazon.com Oh boy. Here we go again! Just another exciting day in the life of 24 super-agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). The season kicks off with a deadly terrorist strike resulting in the kidnapping of his new boss, the U.S. Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane). Although a fired, ex-employee of the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), it is no surprise who is going to shift into full gear to bring the terrorists to justice. However, it doesn't take the super-agent long to discover the kidnapping of his boss is part of a much larger plan, master-minded by Habib Marvan (Arnold Voslo) the middle eastern terrorist cell leader the US government has been trying to track down for years. Considered by many to be the best season of the first four, 24 - Season 4 is a definite departure from the first three seasons. For one, the cast is almost entirely new. Second, the pacing of each episode does not seem as frantic. There appears to be a shift from the reliance on plot-shifting cliff hangers (which in some ways dragged down the quality of Season 3), to a focus on complex, over-arcing, multiple storylines, albeit very violent. What may be missing in superficial action clichés is definitely compensated in a richer plot. That's not to say the show has slowed down, it's still amped up beyond anything else on TV, but compared to the previous seasons, 24 has gotten a lot smarter, and in turn, better. --Rob Bracco

The very best May 9, 2008 I'm gonna start by saying how great is the whole series so far. I own the first 6 seasons and I just finished watching season 6. I got to admit I was a little bit dissapointed by the last (6) but the first 5 are at least 4 and a half star out of 5. I'm french Canadian so it's got to be a great show for me to watch it in english. (I'm good in english thanks to 24). It's so great that everybody I know are now huge 24 fans(most of them are french Canadians too)
To talk about the fourth, it is simply my favorite of them all!!! The end isn't so great but the action start in the first episode witch was not the case for all the previous season. Then, it's the most action packed ( while still belivable) of all 6 season. there is a lots of mini story while keeping with the action. Jack is at is best!!! I don't want to say to much no to spoil the show for those who read this.
Hope you enjoy the review but I'm sure you will enjoy the season 4!!!
AMAZING, INTRIGING, and EXILERATING! March 19, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Season 4 of 24 is amazing just like seasons 1,2,3 if not better.Jack Bauer along with the CTU staff save millions of lives from deadly attacks. By the end of the season Jack Bauer is forcced to do something he has never done before! Season four and seasons 1,2,3 are a most see!
Best Show Currently On Air January 13, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
24 is an action-packed, edge of your seat thriller! The Amazon review gives the basic plot line of the season, but in order to appreciate 24 you need to see it for yourself. There are many subplots that keep the story interesting. I don’t watch a lot of TV but I am hooked by this show (and Desperate Housewives and Family Guy). This has to be the best season so far, and I am eagerly awaiting the 5th season premiere.
Best Season Yet January 5, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful

Worst of the lot. December 30, 2005 0 out of 36 found this review helpful
My recommendation, this is the holidays, give your wallet a break and pay off the Vias instead of buying this. This is the worst, poorly edited, self centered, drape yourself into the flag, spit on other's and with no story telling whatsoever season. I am almost ashamed to say I own the other 3 seasons. This one I am not buying, and I must say, I am very skeptical of the upcoming season. But, in honor of the first 3 season, they were really good, I will give it one last chance.
