5 out of 5 stars Must-have item of 2008!   December 6, 2008
This is all you need for a real girls night in!
If you watch it alone, you will definitely grab your phone and ring your best friend afterwards...

Enjoy!

P.S. I also have the Complete Series 1-6. You might want to consider that as well and start it all over again...

3 out of 5 stars The movie   December 6, 2008
Sex and the City was a brilliant TV show. It was written for the small screen and to be honest it probably should have stayed there. I was really pleased that they made a movie because I missed the characters, but after having watched it, I'd rather they hadn't made it. It's not all bad. There are some funny moments but a film is a whole different story to a 45 minute episode. If this hadn't been made with the SATC characters it would have been a completely pointless film. With them in it, it has some entertainment value, but these aren't exactly the same characters that I grew to love in the show.

3 out of 5 stars Sex And The Bored   November 26, 2008
one word boring! I really enjoyed the series sex and the city, but honestly this was so boring, the film took so long to get to the main parts. There was a few laughs and some tears, but thats about it, don't waste your money! watch the series on tele for free!

4 out of 5 stars It Was Never Going To Be As Good As The Series   November 26, 2008

I think if you went to see this film with the expectation of it being able to develop a plotline for each of the 4 characters throughout the film I can understand why you would be disappointed. For me the fact that they have managed to cover anything relating to all 4 of the girls within such a short time frame was excellent.

When I watched the show I was never carried away by the designer labels and clothes, for me it was always much more about the relationship between the girls themselves and their various partners. I love the fact that we see Carrie's relationship with Big brought to a conclusion in the film - and the continuing expansion of their wedding plans was witty and showed how any girl can get carried away and become a 'Bridezilla' and the impact this can have on their relationship.

Good fun and for fans of the series a further opportunity to spend an evening with our four favourite best friends. Well worth buying.

2 out of 5 stars oh dear :(   November 21, 2008

I would sincerely love to give this film 5 stars but i just cant. I'd be lying if i did. And the film isnt worth it.

Ok, like everyone else, i adored the 6 series of SATC and was sooooo looking forward to the film, but seriously, it was really frustrating to watch. in the end i was praying it would finish quickly.

The major problem for me was the fact that there just wasnt enough time to sort through all the ladies lives! like in the show, you had the whole season to reach a satisfying conclusion, not so in the film. One of the best things about the end of season 6 was that all the girls had found happiness, i was particularly fond of Miranda and Steve, but in the film, their relationship just get's blown to bits by his actions. it didnt even feel realistic, Steve would never of hurt Miranda if the series had carried on!

Another favourite couple is Charlotte and Harry. But he is barely there in the film! i was looking so forward to her getting pregnant, because of all the trouble she has had trying to concieve in her marriage to Trey, but it's like she gets pregnant, then this amazing thing barely gets a mention, then she has the baby, and it's not mentioned, and there's no big celebration with the other girls. it was a major let down. But her adopted daughter is lovely.

and Stanford and Anthony, well i dont even know what that's all about. and they are also under used. Samantha and Smith, he's also barely there. the best thing about her storyline is her cute dog.

Then there's Carrie and Big, and suprise suprise, he's messing her about again. Which had me asking the question that has stayed with me ever since the end of season 4 - Why didn't she stay with Aidan?

Apparantly, there is going to be a new SATC film, i will watch it and i will hope to high heaven it is a massive improvement on this one.
